Who we are, what we do.
The mission of the East Cheshire Hospice is to make every day count for their patients and their families. They are a registered charity, however they receive only 23% of their funding from the government, meaning that every day they must raise £5,500 to keep going. No charge is made to the patients of the hospice, so all funds are raised through various fundraising events and the hospice lottery.
The hospice is in Macclesfield, but also serves the areas of Wilmslow, Handforth, Poynton, Disley, Congleton and Knutsford. It provides 15 bedrooms for patients for treatment and terminal care, a day-care unit, therapy sessions, clinical care, social-work support, physiotherapy and spiritual support.
How can you help?
Fundraising is key to the success of the hospice, and there are many ways that you can help.
- Attend the various fundraising events - check maccweb for updates of what's going on!
- give a donation
- set up an event and a fundraising page and raise money for the hospice!
- feeling lucky? play the lottery! It costs £1 a week and you get 5 numbers. The draw is randomly selected on a computerevery Friday and the top prize every week is £2000, plus many more smaller prizes.
