Boarhound 3 Club AZ 4
After going undefeated all last season it came as a bitter pill to swallow for Maurice Sutton’s team to taste defeat in their first match of the new campaign after surrendering all three points to Club AZ having held the lead three times in a closely contested came at Congleton Road . It was always going to be a tough opening match and with AZ having already played midweek perhaps they had a slight advantage . Nathan Hulley opened the scoring for Boarhound before Lee Anderson crashed in a superb equaliser in off the underside of the bar that gave Anthony Connolly no chance. Not to be out done Simon Gibbons restored the home side’s advantage with a spectacular volley of his own from the edge of the penalty box but once again Club AZ came back to level the came at 2-2 with Omar Lampety finding the net.
Gibbons grabbed his second of the match and Boarhound’s third in the second half but with Lee Anderson equalising for a third time Boarhound began to lose faith in their own ability to hang onto a lead and began to get frustrated . Club AZ took full advantage with Lee Anderson scoring the winner and completing his hat-trick late in the second half.

Cheadle Hulme 1 Old Alts East 2
Old Alts East made it two wins out of two and move into second place in the table after narrowly defeating Cheadle Hulme at Davenport School . Marco Carlochi notched his second goal of the season with Nick Scholes adding a second for the visitors whilst Rob Jackson made it two goals in two games for Cheadle.
m.o.m Sean Hollingsworth (Old Alts East )
Handforth 9 Poynton Village 2
Handforth secured their first win of the season at Jim Evison and how ! They demolished Poynton Village scoring four times in the first half then going one better in the second scoring five. Sam Marshall’s brace proved incidental as Jordan Ecclestone led the way for Handforth scoring three with Stephen Dootson and Joe Reidy adding two a piece. Kyle Skaratt and Stuart Naylor both scored once.
m.o.m Jordan Ecclestone (Handforth)
Mary Dendy 13 Wilmslow Sports 0
Not much of a contest at Mary Dendy Fields as the visitors could only field eight players against a strong Dendy team Credit to Wilmslow they only trailed by three at half time thanks to some great goalkeeping from Graham Snowball but the floodgates opened in the second half as tiredness crept in and Dendy brought on fresh legs.

Old Alts ‘A’ 2 Poynton Nomads 6

Poynton Kings 6 Juno United 0
Poynton Kings made it two wins from two games , nine goals scored and none conceded after thrashing Juno 6-0 at Woodford Rec. They now stand top of the table. In this form they look like potential title contenders and in man of the match Jordan Griffiths they have a match winner. He scored twice but Kings are strong all over the pitch this season and there were further goals from Dave Brindle , Adam Ledgar , Kieron Nolan and Ed Haslem.
