Mike , who took over the Youth Team Manager’s job from Phil Edwards in 1995 after a successful career with Priory County was joined in 2001 by Graham who had been a member of the Youth squad himself and made a very successful transition from player to coach.
Together they led the youth team to four Cheshire Youth Cup Finals and were instrumental in engineering the Under 17’s teams’ victory in 2004, the first and the only team from the Macclesfield District to win a County Cup since 1989.
They also enjoyed fine runs at the annual Umbro tournaments and led their side against both national and international sides.
