Boarhound practically wrapped up the title without even playing a game at the weekend as rivals Wilmslow and Mary Dendy both lost for the second weekend in a row. However the battle for runners up spot is closer than it’s been for many a season with no less than five teams in with a shout. Mary Dendy remain in pole position but they have played more games than their rivals and still have to face Boarhound twice. A dreadful first half against High Lane saw them trail  4-1 at the break and effectively surrender three points but they battled back in the second half  claiming a morale victory by out scoring their hosts 2-1.
Simon Nicholson -two goals on his Dendy comeback
Final score High Lane 5   Mary Dendy  3. Scorers for High Lane, Jake Getcheffsky with two , George Mitchell and one each for Rob and Tony Graydon. On target for Dendy were Simon Nicholson making a welcome return to the side following several weeks out with a hamstring injury with a brace and a thunderous strike from Martin Brunker.

Hot on Dendy’s heals are Club AZ  who over took Wilmslow after a fairly comfortable 2-1 victory at Jim Evison Fields. Gareth Gibbons and Will Beighton gave the visitors a two goal cushion before Chris Nevin notched his eighth league goal of the season..

Also on the up are Poynton Kings who won an exciting match at Woodford Rec by the odd goal in five 3-2 against Juno United  who’s recent resurgence gave them hope of a top three spot. They could still make it , but they will have to string some better performances together and on Saturday they play host to Mary Dendy in a game that could determine their season. Stuart Ainsworth proved to be the danger man for Kings scoring all three of their goals with Dave Westwood and Sam Woodward on target for Juno.

Poynton ‘s miserable season continues as they went down 4-0 at home to Poynton Nomads with two goals each from Tom Gaskell and Matt Stoten..

Plenty of goals too at Bollington Rec as Inter Macc and Old Alts Youth drew  3-3.
Jermaine Leveridge -on target for Inter Macc
Jermaine Leveridge, Matt Kinsella and Kyle Mulliner on target for Inter with Dave Richards, Darren Hill and Steve Lakin securing a point for Old Alts Youth.
