| Jamie Collins in action for Boarhound |
Maurice Sutton can be very pleased with his Boarhound side as they out battled a strong Malpas side to run out 3-1 winners at Congleton Road. Ryan Stewart was outstanding at the back for the holders and was worthy of man of the match and his partnership with Dave Clowes has been one of the major reasons Boarhound concede so few goals .It was the all round team display that won the tie though, with Dave Barratt , Dan Frost and Jamie Collins holding midfield and Andy Foote and Ian Potts combining well upfront.
Boarhound opened the scoring in the first half with Ian Potts on target but Malpas came back as Dominic O’Keefe levelled before the break. The second half belonged to Boarhound as they scored twice within fifteen minutes of the re-start . Ian Potts got his second and Dave Barratt hit a tremendous curling shot from outside the penalty box to make it 3-1 and give Malpas a mountain to climb.
Two goals in the opening ten minutes from Jon O’Brien laid the foundation for Wilmslow Sport as they eased past Winnington Avenue 3-1 at Jubilee Fields

. O’Brien’s second, a well rehearsed free kick routine involving Anthony Mape on the left hand edge of the penalty area was worthy of winning any cup tie. Mape himself added number three.
Poynton battled hard against Curshaws but eventually went down 4-0 after they trailed 1-0 at half time. Goalkeeper Steve Hardicre gave the visitors hope when he saved a penalty but two goals in the final fifteen minutes sent Curshaws through to the semi-finals.
A Rob McDonagh goal was enough to breath new life into Poynton Nomads season as they beat Tarporley Vics Reserves at Bolly Rec. With their form in the league patchy to say the least they now have a potential cup final to focus on.

Poynton Kings 6 Old Alts 2
Poynton Kings enjoyed a morale boosting victory as they overwhelmed Old Alts ‘A’ at Woodford Rec scoring six times. Colin Speed and Luke Murray both scored twice with Tom Hopkins and Stuart Ainsworth also on target. For Alts Lee Gilbert and Dave Howard restored some pride grabbing one a piece.
Old Alts Youth 1 Mary Dendy 3
Crossford Bridge has proved a happy hunting ground for Dendy this season as victory against Old Alts Youth sent them three points clear at the top of the table. How long they will stay there remains to be seen as second placed Boarhound do have four games in hand but Paul Cronshaw’s side have worked hard all season and deserve their place at the summit. Chris Shepherd, Leon White and Luke Watkin were all on target with Tom Masey replying for Youth.
Juno 0 Inter Macc 2
A deserved win for Inter Macc who made an inform Juno team look very ordinary indeed . Will Perry opened the scoring in the first half reacting first when the home side failed to clear a corner to poke home from ten yards. With limited chances for both sides it was left to Jermaine Leveridge to secure the points with Inter Macc’s second late on.
High Lane 1 Club AZ 1
A second half penalty from Dave Wilde earned a point for High lane as they took on Club AZ at Disley Sports Club . Rick Mottershead had given the visitors the lead in the first half getting nudging home a flick on from a long throwin.
