Boarhound     3      Prestbury Club   3

A six goal thriller at Windmill Street between two ambitious attacking sides. Nicky Scott gave Prestbury the lead but poacher supreme Gareth Gibbons stole in at the far post to equalise for the hosts. Craig Scott restored the lead with a stunning free kick before the break but back came Boarhound once again  as Ben Hamand made it 2-2.  Craig Scott got his second and Prestbury’s third only to see Boarhound deservedly ensure a share of the spoils with a third equaliser from Chris ‘Cyrill’ Taylor with five minutes remaining.

Fran Oliver - on target for AC Bollan

 

Oxfford missed the chance of joining Pack Horse at the top of the table, at least on points , as they lost 3-0 to a rejuvenated Bollan side who have finally hit form. Goals from Tim Hammond , Fran Oliver and Mark Cundliffe won the came for the visitors which left the Oxfford wondering what might have been!

Albion Rovers    1   Vale    4

Vale did their chances of capturing runners up spot the power of good after seeing off Andy Walker’s Albion Rover’s side at Victoria Park. Once again Rover’s had Jamie Collins to thank for grabbing their only goal, his sixth in his last three outings but Vale are on a roll and goals from Mike Hall, Tom Burgess and Tom Jackson with two, secured all three points for the visitors.

First Division

FC Congleton    0     Hollins     0

FC Congleton kept their first clean sheet of the season but ended up disappointed they hadn’t taken all three points against the league leaders having twice hit the post. The wheels seem to have temporarily fallen off for Hollins who failed to find the net for the second match in a row..

Poynton Legion   1    Spinners    1

A buoyant Legion made it four points in their last two games with a battling display to keep out a rampant Spinners  who hit the woodwork a total of eight times during the game, four in each half . Legion threw everything into maintaining their early lead gifted to them on four minutes by Spinners keeper Phil Ravenscroft who could only clear the ball straight  to Luke Williams  who finished with ease. Dan Hunter spared Spinners blushes as he hit the equaliser with ten minutes remaining.

Tythy Juniors    7     Sporting Kerridge    3

Tythy have looked a different side over recent weeks since the arrival of Lee McIntyre from Pack Horse and it showed again as he scored four times against a luckless Kerridge side at Congleton Road. Tom Clayton added two more with Andy Mitchell adding a seventh. The visitors have their own goal machine in Dave Finlow who scored twice with hard working midfielder Steve Hulme adding a third.

Poynton    3      Nags Head    2

Nags Head were ruing missed chances as they lost the chance to put pressure on Hollins by going down 3-2 to Poynton . Despite having much less possession the home side took full advantage of the chances they did have scoring three times with Greg Willis, John Chesters and Alex Gray all on target.. For a disappointed Nags it was Anthony Byrne and Rick Davis.

Macc Boys Juniors -Will Perry

Macc Boys Juniors took full advantage of a weakened Chester Road to boost their goal difference scoring seven times with Dave Short the pick of the goalscorers grabbing a hat-trick. Also on target for Macc boys were captain Will Perry, Scott Meszaros, Elliot Spencer and James Wooten.

Chilli Banana   3       Railway View    4

Railway move up to second thanks to two goals a piece from Ryan Stewart and Chris Coxen  It was  a nip and tuck victory against Chilli Banana who performed well despite missing midfield  talisman Mike Meszaros. Danny Sutton got Chilli back on track as they trailed 2-0 after only fifteen minutes  with Graham Boultbee heading home  a second , but defending  set pieces proved to be their downfall as Railway turned the screw . Joe Delargy hit a third for Chilli.
