 FA Saturday Cup

Saturday 5th December

Inter Macc   0      Club AZ      6

The cup holders , Club AZ , safely made it through to the next round of the competition after overcoming a game Inter Macc side with three goals in each half at Bonis Hall Lane . All credit to Inter Macc for actually managing to find a playable surface after standing water had ruled out any chance of a game at their home pitch in Bollington but the final  score line was harsh on them as they battled hard and never gave up.
Harry Wheetman scored twice for Club AZ
Ultimately it was the Cheshire league’s side’s superior fire power that overwhelmed the hosts with Jordan Pearson grabbing  a hat-trick , Harry Wheatman hitting two and Neil O’Brian completing the scoring.

Wilmslow Sport    2       Poynton    0

John O’Brian made it five goals in the league this season after helping Wilmslow secure all three points against Poynton at Jim Evison Fields. It was sweet revenge for the hosts who were well beaten  by the visitors earlier in the campaign in a game that , to date,  still remains Poynton’s  only league win. Anthony Mape scored the second for Wilmslow.
