Foundation Degree graduates from Macclesfield College wore their caps and gowns with pride at the recent Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) graduation ceremonies at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.

As Macclesfield College’s Foundation Degrees are validated by MMU, the students experienced the full university ceremony and received their awards alongside hundreds of other graduates. By successfully completing their Foundation Degrees the talented graduates have gained new skills to boost their careers and now have the opportunity to continue their studies at MMU to gain a full Honours Degree, an option that many students take full advantage of.

The achievements of three Macclesfield College students in particular have been recognised as students Luca Giagu, Yvonne Mayers and Justin Wilkinson, discovered they have been commended by Cheshire and Warrington’s Higher Education Consortium. While their subjects differed - Luca studied Sport, Coaching & Fitness; Yvonne, Business Management & IT and Justin, Graphics & Digital Design – their commitment and hard work did not and they will each be rewarded with a £200 bursary towards their continued study at MMU.
