Discover new business opportunities in Thailand
Thailand Means Business - Free Seminar, Thursday 9th October 10.00 - 13.30, Lancashire County Cricket Club
The British Chamber of Commerce Thailand and UK Trade & Investment North West have joined forces to help the region's businesses discover more about opportunities in Thailand with a free seminar at Lancashire County Cricket Club, Old Trafford on Thursday 9th October.
Thailand is one of the fastest growing markets in Asia, and offers fantastic opportunities for UK companies.
Last year the growth rate in Thailand was 4.8% of GDP, and with the support of foreign investment Thai business has matured greatly despite political instability.
With Thailand's return to a democratically elected government, concerns of overseas investors have been greatly reduced, and Thailand has been offering more attractive opportunities in a variety of sectors.
The UK is Thailand's most significant European investor, and the second largest European exporter.
This seminar, sponsored by CB Richard Ellis, Mayer Brown JSM, Property Care Services and Bangkok Bank Plc will include a briefing on recent political developments and the chance to hear the experiences of local companies who have successfully developed business in Thailand.
Speakers will include Rodney Bain, Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (BCCT) and Greg Watkins, Executive Director of the BCCT. There will also be an opportunity to network with delegates and guest speakers over lunch.
Places are limited and demand is expected to be high, so interested companies are encouraged to register right away to secure a place.
