| The County Council’s back to back garden awarded silver at the RHS Flower Show |
Cheshire County Council has won silver for its back to back garden at the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park.
The award was presented yesterday (Wednesday) for the garden which celebrates 30 years of the Gritstone Trail and is a mixture of flowers and vegetables in a mythical ‘Harebell Teashop’ garden.
Created by the Countryside Service, the idea of displaying at the RHS Flower Show was only conceived around four weeks ago.
“The original garden was part of a larger display which won two golds at the Cheshire Show” said County Council Chairman Steve Wilkinson.
“It was such a hit with visitors that the decision was taken to bring the garden to the RHS Flower Show.
“And yesterday I saw for myself its popularity once again.
”I think it has been a wonderful accomplishment by Countryside Service to design and deliver such an award – winning garden.”
