The Silk Museum and Paradise Mill
The elegant, spacious new Silk Industry Museum at Paradise Mill and the old Art School reveal the story of how silk was made and prepared to meet the needs of the fashion trade.
West Park Museum
Learn and marvel at West Park Museum - the museum built from the silk trade. With its fine antiquities brought back from Egypt by the intrepid silk family heiress Marianne Brocklehurst, this is a museum of collections.
The Heritage Centre
A gallery displaying vibrant silk costume from the 1830s to the present day, haberdashery, manufacturers' silk pattern books, choice lace and an interactive gallery computer complement an award winning audio visual on the growth of the industry in Macclesfield.
The Silk Shops and The Mulberry Tree Coffee Shop
The shops offer a fantastic range of unique silk gifts: scarves, ties, textiles, silk cards, woven pictures and novelties. The Coffee Shop is an attractive venue offering a wide range of refreshments. It is fully licensed and can cater for private parties and group visits.
