He's no local and most likely doesn't know much about Macclesfield or its football club but wrestling star turned movie don The Rock (a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson) is Macclesfield Town's latest high-profile fan!
During an appearance on the sky sports show Soccer AM, the presenters decided The Rock needed a local English team to support. So following a good old name-from-the-hat draw, Johnson picked out no other than the mighty silkmen, and has become a new fan for life!
The wrestling film star has been sent a Macclesfield Town Shirt - XXL no doubt - which hopefully he will wear proudly!
Other famous fans of Macclesfield Town FC include TV star from Ashes to Ashes and Life on Mars Marshall Lancaster. However, he will always be Macc Town's number one celeb supporter as he remains a real dedicated fan and regularly goes to Moss Rose to support the team.
Lets hope The Rock doesn't get jealous that he's not the only celeb supporter in town - we pity Marshall if he gets caught in a throw-down!
