Macclesfield Hockey Club
Macclesfield hockey club has three ladies teams and five men's teams, along with a thriving junior section. Each of the teams plays in the various Cheshire leagues on a Saturday, with mixed hockey game on a Sunday.
Junior training is held on a Saturday and Sunday at Tytherington High School, and is taken by qualified coaches. Junior training starts Saturday 8th of September 10:30 - 12pm for boys aged 7 years - 13 years and Sunday 9th of September 10:30-12pm for boys and girls aged 5 years - 13 years, and will run during school term.
Currently summer hockey is played at Fallibroome High School on a Wednesday evening 7-8:30pm. This session cost £3 and everyone is welcome. The session involves mixed games of 7-a-side. If you are looking to get involved with hockey, please come along.
Hockey training starts Wednesday 1st August at Kings High School. Each training session is for 2 hours conducted by a qualified level 2 coach. The sessions involve fitness and skills work.
The club also has a touring team, which attends the Blackpool Easter hockey festival and the Bath tournament.
Macclesfield Hockey Club is a very friendly club, which holds a number of social events throughout the season.
