We may have lost local girl, Bronte, a Fallibroome High School pupil from Macclesfield, in the contest a few weeks back but another local girl, Danielle Hope, has also shown what a wealth of talent we have in this area by being declared the winner of the Dorothy casting show "Over the Rainbow" on Saturday night.

Knutsford High School pupil, Danielle, said after being declared the winner -

" All I can say is thank you but it really does come from in here, It feels like not enough but I am just so grateful. We all are for this amazing opportunity. "

And we are all grateful, too, for Danielle's lovely talent.

Andrew Lloyd Webber remarked to Danielle -

" You’re the most fantastic, talented kid with a huge future ahead. Now the hard work starts but my goodness me, you can act from the soul and that is something that’s very special. "

We wish Danielle well as Dorothy in " The Wizard Of Oz - The Musical "  in the West End, and beyond, in what is surely set to be a sparkling career ahead.

Perhaps we'll see Danielle and Bronte on the stage together sometime ?
