Mike Williamson
May 11, 2010

One of the UK's Top Drum Corps, the Commodores Drum Corps from Poynton, is looking for new members

The Commodores are now recruiting new members, of all ages, for 2010.

Come and join one of the UK's top Drum Corps and enjoy the family atmosphere, the thrill of lively competition and competing abroad against the best that Europe has to offer. Typically, the European Finals take place in front of thousands of avid supporters under floodlights at one of Holland's top Premiership clubs. No other similar hobby can offer such excitement and such fantastic experiences.

The Commodores is now an Open Age group with adults as well as youngsters performing with the Corps.  Age is no problem and experience of this activity is not essential although previous musical knowledge is beneficial.

Sections in our Drum Corps looking for New Members are:

Brass. Instruments ranging from Soprano through to Contra Bass (Tuba).

Percussion. Nearly full but always looking for fresh talent.

Colour Guard. Choreographed movement and Dance using Flags, Imitation Rifles, Sabres and various other items of equipment.

Rehearsals are at Poynton High School, Tuesday evenings, 6:30 to 8:00 for Juniors (under 13) and 7:00 to 9:30 for the Seniors/Open age section.

Come along and check us out.

Visit http://www.commodores.info or contact Karen Muskett, 01625 876441, for information or Mike Williamson on 01625 260392 or at: mikeb_williamson@hotmail.com
