Club AZ 5 Mary Dendy 1
Club AZ avenged their heavy defeat to Mary Dendy earlier in the season by outclassing an injury hit Dendy side at Mulberry Sports Centre. Dendy just couldn’t cope with AZ’s neat passing game and went behind as early as the twelveth minute when Jason Blythe glanced home a header from Jimmy Baskerville’s free kick wide on the left after Ryan Fallon had fouled Jon Blackburn. On the half hour Gareth Gibbons doubled AZ’s lead as he sent a superb curling shot past keeper Rob Tilley from the edge of the penalty area. Such was the home sides dominance it wasn’t until five minutes before the break that their new signing Harry Shatwell was called into action to make a save . Dendy lost the game within fifteen minutes of the second half as inexplicable errors allowed Jimmy Baskerville to score twice , once direct from a corner and the second one from a free kick next to the corner flag without anyone getting near the ball. Will Beighton made it 5-0 midway through the second half with a goal that epitomised Club AZ’s play.
John Whitehead broke up play midway inside his own half and powered forward releasing Paul Bethal down the wing , his pin point cross found Beighton completely unmarked four yards out and he gratefully side footed home.. Dendy did find the net themselves with a minute remaining as Luke Watkin burst through two AZ defenders to guide the ball wide of the advancing AZ keeper but it was always going to be AZ’s afternoon.
Old Alts A 1 Wilmslow Sports 5
Wilmslow bounced back from last week’s defeat to take all three points against Old Alts at Crossford Bridge thanks to four second half goals . Having led 1-0 at half time the visitors took full advantage as Alts tired but they did concede late on to Guy Marshall who scored his first goal of the season. On target for Wilmslow were Chris Nevin with two, Steve Dootson and Tom Hunt.
Inter Macc 2 Juno United 7
Juno remain unbeaten in February after an excellent away win against Inter Macc at Bollington Rec.

| Darren Wilson scored a hat-trick for Juno United |
In an entertaining game Jermaine Leveridge gave Inter the lead on twenty minutes breaking a tackle and finishing from just inside the penalty area but two goals inside five from Sam Woodward and Steve Jenkins gave Juno a slender advantage Jake Mc Garry’s extraordinary free kick from an acute angle near the touchline tied the game at 2-2 but there were more goals to follow as Darren Wilson fired home to make it 3-2 to the visitors at half time. Some intuitive finishing and some inexperienced goalkeeping led to Juno adding four more goals in the second half but it was by no means one way traffic. Inter showed plenty of endeavour but were consistently let down by the final ball. Darren Wilson completed his hat-trick, Steve Jenkins grabbed his second with a lob from fully thirty yards and Mark Hughes made it seven.
High Lane 4 Poynton Nomads 1
A fantastic result for High Lane as they recorded their fifth win of the season against this seasons under achievers Poynton Nomads who began the season as one of the favourites for the title . Jake Getcheffsky gave High Lane a dream start taking advantage of a goalkeeping mistake to make it 1-0 after five minutes and then doubled their lead with his second minutes later . George Mitchell made it 3-0 following a corner but a spectacular bicycle kick from striker Tom Gaskell reduced the arrears as Nomads trailed 3-1 at the break. High Lane made it four in the second half when man of the match Dave Wilde converted a penalty when Luke Campbell was felled in the penalty box.
Inter-League Cup
 |
| Jamie Collins scored twice for Boarhound |
Cup holders Boarhound eased into the next round after comfortably disposing of Lostock Reserves at Congleton Road 3-0. Forced to play for the second weekend in a row player manager Maurice Sutton gave his team the ideal start opening the scoring himself with Jamie Collins adding a second before half time. A second goal from Collins in the second half secured the win.
Poynton produced an excellent rearguard display to dump rivals Kings out of the competition with a first half goal from Dan Moult. Under the cosh for much of the game the visitors had some resolute defending and a fine performance in goal from Steve Hardicre to thank as they managed to hang on to their first half advantage to run out 1-0 victors.
A kieron Joyce goal for Old Alts Youth wasn’t enough as they lost 4-1 to Malpas.
