Two goals from Jonny Mercer and a fabulous free kick from James Wheeler eventually secured all three points for Bollan but they made hard work of it. The turning point however came on twenty eight minutes when top scorer Tim Hammond scrambled the ball home for the equaliser. Boarhound’s heads visibly dropped as they allowed Bollan back in the game and two minutes into first half stoppage time Jonny Mercer swept home from close rang as the ball ran free from a booming throw in from centre half James Flower.

Pack Horse 6 Albion Rovers 2
A five goal blitz in the first half saw off a brave Albion side who showed plenty of spirit in a physical encounter. Simon Gibbons grabbed a hat-trick with Lee Malkin adding two more . Martin Quigley weighed in with a sixth for Pack who are still the team to beat at the top of the division. For Albion Jamie Collins once again showed his class scoring his fifth goal in two games , Albion’s second came courtesy of an own goal.
Prestbury Club 5 Macc Boys Seniors 2
Prestbury consolidated third place with a confident display against Macc Boys Seniors who appear to be struggling for form in 2010. Ashley Hunt gave the visitors a first half lead taking advantage of a defensive lapse but Prestbury stormed back with three goals of their own before the break. Neil O’Brian and John Whitehead finding the net before Craig Scott powered in a header from a set piece. A second half brace from O’Brian made it five for the hosts and a hat-trick for himself but Sam Corlett made the score respectable hitting number two for Macc Boys.
Vale 1 Oxfford 2
Oxfford remain the Pack’s nearest challenges as they notched up another win thanks in part to a goal in each half from Dave Billington. His first owed more to good fortune as Vale’s keeper failed to clear a back pass leaving him an easy tap in but his second came as a result of a swift counter attack as he used his considerable speed to race clear and fire home. Vale did manage to score one of their own but Tom Jackson’s penalty came with virtually the last kick of the game.
