Silk FM hosted their 11th Local Heroes Award on the 19th November at the Moss Rose Stadium.
Andy Bailey, the Silk FM DJ was in attendance for the glitzy night as the young and old heroes of Macclesfield were commended.
There were ten categories on the night, including, carer, teacher, volunteer and young person.
With the news full of tragedies and the "credit crunch" at the moment, the night was a reminder that a lot of good is done in our community.
Phillip Whelan, winner of the Young Person Award, has raised a staggering £100,000 this year for a various number of charities.
Another winner was Florence Nellist who was highlighted for her dedication to her son's illness and her overall persona.
The night was an overall success, and the race is now on for next year's award.
