Soccersixes Round-up 23rd November

Nov 27, 2009

Soccersixes

Premiership

CT Dons 2-7 Lightech

Lightech continued their unstoppable charge up the table destroying CT Dons in the first game of the evening.

Despite taking the lead, Dons never looked in control and were eventually outclassed with ease.

Lightech now just need two more victories to seal their first championship.

Dons look in trouble at the foot of the table and now need other results to go their way if they are to stand any chance.

Bolympiakos 4-3 Sparka Fag

Bolympiakos put pay to any slight chance Sparka had of a last minute charge up the league as they succumbed to their second loss in two weeks.

Sparka will feel hard done by, as they were in the game all the way but paid for sloppy defending at the end, sacrificing a goal lead to eventually lose the game.

Bolympiakos still have a slight chance of glory, and have a big game next week against second placed Milkmen.

Peaks and Plains 1-4 Milkmen

Title challengers Milkmen made easy work of despatching the bottom club Peaks and Plains.

The result was never in doubt, and Milkmen need to keep up their current momentum with a couple of crunch games coming up against teams around them.

Peaks are now resigned to a return to Division one next season where they will look to build again.

JJB Elite 6-5 Mail Madrid

The final game of the night saw two teams with little but pride to play for at this point of the season.

With no pressure on the sides, the game was contested in brilliant spirit and in a topsy turvy game, JJB eventually came out on top despite Madrid's best efforts.

Both teams will be looking for something similar next campaign.
