Queens Arms    3     Railway  View    1

Ben Dunkley’s Queens Arms side  go third  above rivals Railway View by a point after victory in this bad tempered match at Bollington Leisure Centre. To add salt in the wounds for the visitors it was ex Railway player Stuart Ainsworth who proved to be the difference  as he scored twice for his new side including one from the penalty spot. Railway only had themselves to blame  as despite coming from behind to equalise with a Mark Wolfenden penalty they then went down to ten players after Chris Coxen received his marching orders for a second bookable offence. Queens took full advantage Ryan Foster made it 2-1 , then Ainsworth added the crucial third to secure the points.

Tythy Juniors   2     Poynton Legion  1

The home side secured only their second league win of the season with victory over fellow strugglers Poynton Legion but they made extremely hard work of it as they led 2-0 at half time courtesy of two first half goals from Lewis Evans.
Steve Little scored a superb freekick for Poynton Legion
The turning point came early in the second half as referee  Ian Battersby awarded a penalty.  Up stepped Evans to complete his hat-trick but he drove his penalty straight down the middle of the goal and keeper Josh Yeoman , diving to his left saved with his legs. It was Yeoman’s last major contribution to the game  as minutes later he was being helped from the pitch to be replaced by stand in keeper Si Williams. Legion swarmed forward and were back in the match at 2-1 when  Steve Little crashed home a stunning freekick from twenty five yards. But for some stout defending , particularly from man of the match Andy Mitchell Legion might have got some thing from this game but at the final whistle it was advantage and three points to Tythy.

Nags Head    5     Chilli Banana    2

This match was only three minutes old when referee Wes Benson had to suspend play for nearly thirty minutes as Chilli’s Gareth Hall was treated on the pitch after badly dislocating his knee. It naturally affected the Chilli players and Nags were 3-0 up early in the second half. Goals from Anthony Byrne
Neil Smith heads home to make it 2-0 for Nags Head
and Neil Smith had put them two goals clear by half time and leading marksman Craig Poyser  had added a third. The visitors came back strongly with two goals in five minutes. Mike Meszaros fired home a pin point freekick which gave Lee Anderson no chance in the Nags goal and then Jack Hoyle scored with a low drive also from distance. Nags were far from deflated though and they killed the game with two late goals from Byrne and Poyser.
