Albion 1 Prestbury Club 4
Prestbury go five points clear at the top of the table after a deserved victory against struggling Albion Rovers at Victoria Park.
 |
| Prestbury's driving force Craig Scott in action for Club AZ |
Craig Scott caused the home side problems all afternoon along with his pacier brother Nicky and they both scored . Craig with two and Nicky , one. Dave Woodward added a fourth. Dave Barratt was on target for Albion in the first half.
Brewers 2 Boarhound 5
Brewers season goes from bad to worse as without six first team players they were easily beaten by a Boarhound side who move up to fourth . It was a great team performance with centre half Chris Burgess outstanding at centre half for the visitors. Gareth Gibbons took his tally in the league to four with a brace, Craig Hayes curled a free kick in to the top corner to open his account and Chris ‘Cyril’ Taylor scored with a fabulous strike for his first of the season with midfielder Ben Hamand also on target.
Macc Boys Seniors 2 Pack Horse 4
Macc Boys Seniors suffered their first league defeat of the season after leading last seasons champions 2-0 at Congleton Road. Chris Coppenhall had given the home side the lead with an marvellous piece of improvisation as , seeing the visiting keeper off his line he lobbed the ball into the net from the halfway line and top scorer Eddie Roberts doubled their lead but a converted penalty shortly before the break got the visitors back into the game.

| Jono Campbell challenges Macc Boys Seniors keeper in their last encounter at Bollington Rec |
The second half belonged to Pack Horse as they scored three unanswered goals as the Seniors tired. Scorers for the visitors were Lee Malkin , Simon Ainsworth , Martin Quigley and Jono Campbell.
Vale 4 A C Bollan 3
AC Bollan manager Chris Stacey was furious as his side gifted all three points to Vale in second half stoppage time . With the game seemingly heading for a drawer a poor clearance by his keeper feel straight to Vale’s striker who gratefully tucked home the winner with the last kick of the game. Scorers for Bollan were Chris Holland , Dave Bradford and Adam Reeson all with their first goals of the season.

Blueberry 1 Railway View 2
A superb 35 yard strike from Jermaine Leveridge wasn’t enough to stop Blueberry slumping to a second successive defeat, 2-1 to Railway View. Chris Coxan’s brace secured all three points for the visitors despite an excellent display of goalkeeping by Blueberry’s stand-in stopper Kieran Higgs. Railway now go above Blueberry into third.
Chester Road Tavern 3 Sporting Kerridge 1
Sporting Kerridge are still awaiting their first win of the season after their fourth league defeat left them second from bottom. Tegg Westbrook and leading scorer Ryan Walker were both on target for the hosts before a Steve Hulme strike brought the visitors back into contention. Mark Butterworth secured the points with a third for Chester Road.
Chilli Banana 5 Nags Head 4
There’s absolutely no questioning Nag’s Head ‘s ability to score goals they’ve scored eight in two games, it’s in defence where there appears to be a leak! For the second week in a row they lost to the odd goal in nine conceding twice in the final ten minutes to Chilli Banana. It would have been an excellent game for the neutral as the game swung one way then the other with the sides eventually level at 3-3 with twenty five minutes remaining. For the unfortunate Nags , Craig Poyser scored twice and was joined on the score sheet by Lee Anderson and Anthony Byrne . Chilli’s scorers were Mike Meszaros with two with Jack Hoyle and Tom Hoyle grabbing one a piece their opening goal courtesy of an own goal.
Poynton Legion 0 Hollins 6
A thumping victory for Hollins which sees them go top of the First Division . Legion simply didn’t have an answer as the visitors gave them a lesson in finishing . Defender Nick Brunker helped himself to a hat-trick and their were further goals from John Browning, Matt Beswick and Rick Tolley.
Queens 2 Macc Boys Juniors 2
Ill discipline cost Juniors all three points as they were reduced to ten men when leading the game 2-0 . Callum Loftus had given Juniors the lead with centre half Lee Fisher heading home his first ever Sunday league goal to double their advantage.
 |
| Stuart Ainsworth , nine goals already this season for the Queens |
Leading scorer Dave Short then saw red following alleged comments directed towards referee Ian Battersby and the league’s early pace setters rather lost their way. The second half belonged to Queens as first Stuart Ainsworth made it 1-2 and then with five minutes remaining Michael Dingle made it 2-2 .
Tythy Juniors 4 FC Congleton 6
Plenty of goals at Congleton Road as FC Congleton overcame their hosts 6-4. The old adage that ‘things just don’t go your way when you’re struggling at the bottom of the league’ appeared to be true for Tythy as twice they felt they hard done to as the visitors went two goals clear but they offered no excuses as FC Congleton deserved the points and in the words of Tythy’s manager , ‘that’s football for you!’ Nick Hadfield score a hat-trick for the hosts with Lewis Evans adding a fourth. For FC Congleton, Chris Bann also hit three with Ryan Maddock Dan Smith and Rob Tarry completing the scoring.
