AC Bollan     1       Macc  Boys Seniors    2

Macc Boys  have a belief in themselves this season and it shows as they travelled to Bollington Recreation ground and took away all three points  from  last seasons runners up AC Bollan on their own doorstep. The scores with level at have time with both sides scoring penalties, Eddie Roberts for Seniors and Ian Marshall for Bollan. It was substitute Gaz Hunt who made the difference though as he came on to snatch the winner late on.

Boarhound   0   Albion    1

Last seasons’ two promoted teams meet for the first time in the Premier Division on Windmill Street . Both Boarhound and Albion dominated the First Division last season but this season they are finding life a whole lot different with only one win between them in five matches. In a predictably tight game it was the goal keepers who took the headlines with Rob Bailey who came on after only ten minutes replacing the injured Gaz Hughes outstanding for Albion and Pete Slack using all his experience between the posts for Boarhound . Jamie Collins hit the winner for Albion , their first three points of the season.

Pack Horse    2      Oxfford   2

Oxfford came away from Great Warford with a well deserved point after matching their hosts goal for goal  in an entertaining game. Carl McCurrie and Jordan Leigh scored for the visitors with Lee McIntyre and Si Ainsworth scoring for Pack Horse who drop below Macc Boys Seniors into third place.

Prestbury Club    4      Vale      1

Prestbury stay top after a convincing win against Vale at  Bonis Hall lane. Craig Scott opened the scoring and also scored Prestbury’s third after  skipping in from the left wing  to fire home. Mark Hough headed home number two  from a corner  and Chris Connors secured all three points for the lead leaders with number four. Chris Sims hit a consolation for Vale.

FC Congleton       2         Poynton Legion    2

FC Congleton’s player / manager Mark Heath was beside himself  after he saw his side throw away a two goal lead in the final minutes of the match . Leading comfortably 2-0 thanks to goals from Nick Mullins and Dan Smith  they switched off. Legion’s  Adam Rimmer made it 2-1 on 90 minutes after a hand ball on the goal line  and to the visitors delight , leading scorer Luke Williams fired home from 25 yards  to secure a point.

Hollins    5         Blueberry   1

Hollins dethroned  early pace setters Blueberry as they defeated the lead leaders at  Great Warford.
John Browning , scored a hat-trick for the Hollins

John Browing and Nick Brunker gave Hollins a two goal lead going into the second half  but Jermain Leveridge’s third goal of the season  for Blueberry  halved their advantage . Hollins moved up a gear though scoring a further three  times. John Browning completed a hat-trick with Roy Rostrum adding a fifth for a win that takes Hollins up to second.

Macc Boys Juniors   1        Chilli Banana    0

Chilli Banana are on the up despite losing to Macc Boys Juniors. Manager Ben Jackson had secured the services earlier in the week of ex Manchester City  player Ian Brightwell to take a training session and it showed. Under the watchful  eyes of Brightwell and another ex - City  star Asa Harford at Congleton Road they lost out to a goal by MBJ’s leading scorer , Alex Tomlinson who scored his fifth league goal of the season.

Mike Meszaros couldnt quite inspire Chilli Banana to victory against Macc Boys Juniors

Nags Head    4      Chester Road Tavern   5

Chester Road had the first twenty minutes of play to thank as they contrived to let a 4-0 lead slip in a remarkable game at Congleton Road. They faced a barrage of attacks  as back game Nags with four of their own . Antony Byrne scored twice with Liam Casey and  Matt Booth also on target but a fifth for the visitors eventually secured the points.  Goal scorers for Chester Road  were Ryan Walker , Rob Swindells, Dave Spruce, Suwan Maijakk and Dan Barber.

Railway  View    2     Queens     2

Stuart Ainsworth came back to haunt his old team mates at Railway View as his two  goals secured his new side , Queens , a deserved share of the spoils at Victoria Park. Twice the hosts took the lead, firstly through Jason   Harrahgan and then in the second half , with Ryan Stewart’s third league goal of the season but twice  Ainsworth  equalised.

Spinners    3       Tythy Juniors    0

Spinners Manager Jimmy Baskerville rested several players after last weekends gruelling cup –tie against Brewers  and it paid off with the youngsters scoring three unanswered goals against Tythy Juniors . Nathan Hulley scored twice , with his second the pick of the goals with Dave Grindey also on target.

Sporting Kerridge    0     Poynton     0

Sporting Kerridge moved  off the bottom of the table with a well earned draw  against mid –table Poynton at Clarke Lane.
