COURSE DETAILS
· Candidates MUST be 14 years of age by 3rd October 2009 to commence the Course!
· This Basic Practical Referees’ Course qualifies you for eleven-a-side football!
· Safe Guarding Children Training – CD Rom for Under 16’s and Workshop for Over 16’s
· CRB Checks on Candidates over the age of 18 years.
· Pre-Course Distance Learning Pack and Questionnaire two weeks prior to Course Work.
· The Laws of the Game Course Work – An in depth Study and Practical Advice on the Application of the Laws of the Game over the two Saturdays.
· Examination on the Laws comprising a Theory Assessment and Written Paper undertaken during the Course Work on the second Saturday.
· Practical Application of Law – You have 8 weeks to complete six 11-a-side games as a referee.
· Debrief Session and Presentation of Certificates!
This Basic Practical Referees’ Course will be run over two Saturdays 3rd October 2009 and 10th October 2009 (9.00am to 4.30pm) at Tytherington High School, Manchester Road, Macclesfield. Safe Guarding Children Workshop will be a separate three hour Workshop date to be confirmed. The completion of the six games will be in competitions suitably selected from the local junior leagues in the District. The debrief session and presentation evening will be advised at a later date subject to successful completion of the six games by season close.
Candidates Administration Fees: 14 to Under 16’s - £58.00
16 to Under 18’s - £78.00 Over 18’s - £90.00 (All as at 10th October 2009)
The Course will be limited to the first twenty four applicants upon receipt of their cheque for the correct amount, when applying in writing to the address below!
