First Division
Macc Boys Juniors 2 Queens Arms 1
Macc Boys Juniors are the early pace setters in the First Division having won both their opening games by the odd goal. They outplayed Queens who had won impressively on Tuesday night but it took a stunning strike by Dave Short from near the half way line to break the deadlock in the first half to give them a deserved lead . With Callum Loftus controlling the midfield for the home side , John Wooten added a second in the second half to double their lead . A late Dave Brindle strike for Queens made it a nervy last ten but Macc Boys always had the edge and go three points clear at the top of the table.
Blueberry 1 Chester Road Tavern 2
After a heavy defeat in their opening fixture Chester Road bounced back to defeat Blueberry at Windmill Street. Two goals from Ryan Walker including one from the penalty spot secured the points but it could have been oh so different had the normally unflappable Pete Eccles not missed his spot kick in the dying seconds for Blueberry with the score at 2-1, with James Slater scoring for the hosts.
