Macclesfield College gave employees from local salons the opportunity to see internationally renowned long hair expert, Patrick Cameron, in action when it hosted an evening showcasing his latest collection of styles.

The College’s Hair and Beauty department invited staff from hairdressing salons across the area to enjoy the inspirational display by the flamboyant New Zealander as he created four stunning long hair looks from his ‘Prestige’ collection. ‘Prestige’ takes its inspiration from the female icons of the 40s and 50s and re-invents the styles as a refreshing, contemporary trend.

Patrick Cameron has, over the past twenty years, become the world’s leading long hair expert and is world famous for his ability to simplify the most complex, elaborate creations to just a few easy steps. Travelling the world as a global ambassador for hairdressing, he has presented shows to thousands of people - creating stunning long hair looks so simplistic that even those terrified by the thought of long hair work feel confident enough to try it for themselves.

Macclesfield College Hairdressing lecturer, Rachel Bishop, who organised the event, commented “It is great to have such a big name in hairdressing come to the College and share his expertise with local salon staff. It has been such a fantastic evening that we are now hoping to arrange more events like this in the future.’’
