If you're facing redundancy or are unemployed you could sign up for a FREE course at Macclesfield College to re-skill or train for a new career.
Fully funded training is being offered to people aged 25 or over who are facing redundancy, have just been made redundant, or who have been unemployed for 6 months or more. You can even continue the course once you are in employment.
Courses vary in length from 3 days to 12 weeks and are offered on a part-time or full-time basis. Some lead to a qualification, others just deliver the skills you need to help you get back into work fast.
The Preparing for Work course will help you with CV writing, interview preparation, communicating to your future employer and how to do it all with confidence. You can also opt to take additional units on team working and dealing with customers.
The IT course will teach you the skills you need in the workplace and leads to a nationally recognised computing qualification such as ECDL or CLAIT.
Alternatively, career specific courses are available to boost your existing skills, or provide a stepping stone into a completely new area. Choose from: Health & Social Care, Counselling, Early Years, Bookkeeping, Payroll or Computerised Accounts.
If you are unsure which route to take Macclesfield College can provide advice about training and careers and help you make the right choices for your future.
