Clients, volunteers and staff at the Macclesfield Cancer Help Centre received free pampering recently from Macclesfield College Beauty Therapy students.
Sixteen NVQ Level 3 students provided mini manicures, pedicures, facials and make-up free of charge. Students Anna Langford and Michelle Machin also gave a presentation on the additional treatments available at the College’s Pure Hair and Beauty Salon.

The cancer help centre, based at Prestbury Methodist Church, is run by volunteers who provide friendship, support and complementary therapies to cancer patients and their supporters. In the run up to the event, the students liaised closely with the centre’s Trustee, Hassan Pillai, as part of their ‘Working with Others’ project.
