AC Bollan     2      Three Crowns     2

Three Crowns title hopes all but slipped away at Bollington Recreation Ground  as they failed to get the three points they needed to keep the pressure on Pack Horse away to rivals AC Bollan. Still leading the table by an impressive four points  Crowns have played five more games than second place Pack who must surely overtake them once they have fulfilled their allotted fixtures.

A draw was really no good to either team but on the day was a fair result between two well matched teams. Greg Mathers gave Crowns only to see Bollan equalise in quite spectacular fashion, Les Sykes letting fly from fully thirty yards after  a push on Tim Hammond. Mathers got his second in the second half to give the visitors the advantage for the second time but with Bollan in no mood to concede points up popped Andy Davies to secure a point .

Blueberry     1    Brewers     1

Blueberry turned the form book on its head as they held free scoring Brewers at Mary Dendy Fields. Brewers  were perhaps guilty of underestimating Blueberry  and thought they would stroll to victory, on the other hand Blueberry turned up to battle!!. For Prestbury   Crucialy missing their deadly strike force of Danny Bailey and Jake McGarry, Brewers struggled in the conditions and  Blueberry took full advantage Ben Atkins giving the home side a deserved lead on the half hour.  Brewers  Caretaker manager Nathan Towns pulled no punches at half time giving his charges a  real blast  and it appeared to work as twenty minutes in they were level, Martin Firth’s cross come shot taking a wicked deflection off the unfortunate Jonny Walker  to beat goalkeeper Dave Mellor who was celebrating his 40th  birthday.  Blueberry could have snatched the game right  at the death but Dec Druce put the ball wide of the goal from six yards .

Oxfford    2      Macc Boys Seniors    2

A game between two of the up and coming sides in the Premier Division finished all square at Congleton Road . Oxfford held a slim 1-0 advantage at half time thanks to an Elliot Bruce strike but  two goals in five minutes  from Chris Hadfield  and Josh Roberts  gave the visitors  the lead. With minutes remaining Tom Westbrook stole in at the far post to level the game at 2-2.

Prestbury Club      3    Packhorse     5

Plenty of goals in blustery conditions saw Packhorse  take all three points against a game Prestbury side who on the day weren’t quite good enough. Fresh from their  victory in the  Cheshire Cup  Pack were predictably difficult to break down  but Prestbury did manage to breach their miserly defence once and led 1-0 at half time .

The second half saw a goal fest with seven goals. Unfortunately for the hosts with  five minutes remaining and the score at 3-3  Pack scored twice from almost indentical corners to secure three vital points  . Nick Stone scored twice  with Nick Ward, Dave Hancox and Simon Band all on target. For Prestbury goals came from the ever reliable  Dave Ansall and Chris Connors with two.

Vale      4     Railway View    4

An  excellent game which saw Railway show real character after coming from behind three times to take a point at Back Lane . Trailing 2-0 after ten minutes thanks to goals from Thomas Jackson and Dave Holmes   they clawed their way back finally  drawing level thanks to a Stuart Ainsworth penalty early in the second half .  Again Thomas Jackson gave Vale the lead  but again Railway came back  to make it 3-3 . Jackson completed his hat-trick to make it 4-3 ,but true to form Railway came back to take a thoroughly deserved point. Also amon the goals for Railway were Tom Wild, Mike Harrison and Stuart Ainsworth with a second.

Tytherington Juniors     6    Poynton      2

A tremendous team performance by Tythy who secured the points with an impressive first half  display that saw them  score four times without reply. The second half , in terms of goals scored was even at two goals a piece  but by then the game had already been won.  Gareth  Ridge two, James Moon , Dave Scott , Ryan Walker and Gary Taylor were all on target  whilst for Poynton Leo Faulkner grabbed a brace.

Hollins     4   Macc Boys Juniors      3

John Browning secured the points for Hollins in a game spoilt by two red cards late  on ,both shown to the  Macc Boys Junior ‘s players . The visitors were in with a shout thanks  to goals from Callum Loftus and Dave Short’s double but with nine men they couldn’t match Hollins , whose goals came from  Matt Beswick wit two and Gaz burns.

Boarhound    4      Sporting Kerridge    1

Boarhound kept in contact with the leaders Albion Rovers thanks to a comfortable victory against  mid table Kerridge.  Decland fletcher’s amazing goalscoring run continued as he hit two whilst Ben Hamand and Wayne Riley were also on target.
