East Cheshire Hospice Christmas Tree Collection

Final figures are still being compiled but already the total money collected is over £90,000. The total number of trees collected was over 7000 from over 2000 roads across 250 square miles in Cheshire East. With other monies such as late donors, sponsorship, and gift aid still to come in it is hoped the Hospice will be given a net total of over £110,000, in excess of last year’s figure of £102,000. Over the 17 years of collecting Christmas trees the Christmas tree collection volunteers have raised over £750,000.
This is a great success and could only be achieved with the help of generous donors and the fantastic volunteers whose hard work made this possible.
The ECCTC believe this is the world’s biggest Christmas Tree Collection and the biggest volunteer led recycling scheme. If you believe otherwise please let them know – www.echtrees.org.uk/
