Cheshire East have proposed a schedule of main modifications to the Cheshire East Local Plan Strategy, including modifications to the proposed plan to build on land between Chelford Road and Whirley Road, Gaw End Lane, land south of Chelford Road, Congleton Road and an area of south Macclesfield. Formal Consultation on these modifications will be open from 6th February 2017 to 5:00pm on 20th March 2017.
The modifications relevant to the Macclesfield area can be found here.
The information below is taken from the email sent to all those who submitted a response to the first consultation.
Having considered the issues raised through the examination process, the Inspector issued his views on further modifications needed to the Local Plan Strategy on 13 December 2016. As a result, the Council has proposed a series of Main Modifications to the Local Plan Strategy – Proposed Changes (March 2016 Version), which are considered necessary to make the plan sound and capable of adoption.
These Proposed Main Modifications are now published for six weeks of public consultation, ending 5:00pm on Monday 20 March 2017. The consultation documents are available on the Council’s website at www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/localplan and in Cheshire East customer service centres and libraries. Full details of the consultation are set out in the formal notice attached, and also available to view online.
After the consultation, the Inspector will consider all duly-made representations before submitting his final report to the Council into the legal compliance and soundness of the Cheshire East Local Plan Strategy.
